The setting alone is inspiration enough at Hever Castle’s 250 acre 27 hole course. Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, dates back to 1270. In 1903 William Waldorf Astor acquired the Castle and gradually added to the estate. In the 1920s the Astors created a nine hole golf course for their personal enjoyment, set around the Hever Castle lake and land to the north of Hever Castle, which survived until the Second World War when it was sadly abandoned.

The Club has hosted the Kent P.G.A. Championship for five years, together with Junior tour events and, without exception, participants and organisers have congratulated the Club on the superb condition and challenging design of the course. For such a testing course, Hever Castle is surprisingly not intimidating to the less experienced golfer. The beautiful surroundings make playing the courses a real pleasure. We know that you will thoroughly enjoy the challenge and we look forward to welcoming you to the Club.
